What Makes It Different

The headline feature is Cascade, Windsurf’s agentic mode. The docs describe it as bringing “agentic AI coding to JetBrains with Write/Chat modes, voice input, tool access, turbo mode, and real-time collaboration.” Unlike a chat panel that only suggests code, Cascade operates on your project: it reads files, runs commands, and iterates on build errors — with voice input on top.

Windsurf is also MCP-native.
